Bush bashing is a pretty common recreational pursuit in Australia and an even better way to enjoy it is to listen to audio recordings of a really good crime thriller! Somehow the gun shots often coincide with a particulary hard bump.

What was that old addage? "One man's loss is another man's gain" ~ or so my Great Aunt used to quote quite regularly. She was a very wise old lady and lived in good health until 95 years. I often wonder about her life and her adaptability. She went from living in a stone house, dirt floor and bark roof. Her mode of transport when growing up was walking, riding or horse and buggy.

She never married. She looked after and out-lived 5 sisters and two brothers even though she was the eldest child in the family. Then in her 40's one of her brothers bought his first car and of course, she was then driven wherever she wanted to go. But then they went and put men on the moon~ and she took it all in her stride. Are we as adaptabile? I think so, don't you?

Notebook Computers

I have a notebook computer and I reckon they are absolutely the 'ants pants'. They go anywhere without being too heavy to carry, they give you internet access virtually anywhere you go and you don't have to stay at high-priced hotels just to get Internet access!

Most of all though they save your feet. Why? Because you don't have to hunt down an Internet cafe.
