The most usual form that an allergy to nylon takes is with hives and or skin rashes.

Skin rashes as annoying and unattractive as they are, are usually the milder form of signaling a skin irritation caused by the nylon. These can be readily relieved with the application of an ointment or salve applied locally to the area.

Hives signal a very bad allergy reaction and come up like skin welts. They can be extremely itchy, sore and unattractive. And if you scratch them and break the skin, they can get infected and sore for days or weeks.

I personally have found the best way to cure hive reactions to nylon was by a visit to a Doctor or Pharmacist for a dose of antihistamine tablets combined with an antihistamine cream. This is not recommended for everyone but well worth talking to your Doctor or Pharmacist about. Read More
